Open World Learning
A high school of just 200 students, Open World Learning (OWL) focuses on empowering its students through self-directed learning. After a name and location change, this family-like community needed a brand overhaul to help recruit new students.
To help the school establish a new brand presence I created a primary logo, a mascot, and a library of icons for each department within the school.
Scope: Branding, Illustration, Graphic Design
OWL’s logo and mascot solve the school’s opposing needs for both a friendly brand mark as well as a fierce mascot to represent the school.
The primary logo was designed to be curious, personal and versatile. Furthermore, a series of owl characters was created so that each department could have its own unique character, allowing students and teachers to feel connected to the brand.
